HISTORY WEEK | BUNDOORA HOMESTEAD TOUR & COLLECTION VIEWING

To celebrate History Week 2018, Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is honoured to present a program of events which explore and pay tribute to the complex and significant history of the Homestead, and the land on which it was built.

Join Sophie Kahl, our Collections & Heritage Officer, together with past employees of the Repatriation Hospital for this unique guided experience. Hear the stories that shaped Bundoora Homestead. Commissioned in 1899 and originally home to the Smith family as a prominent horse racing and breeding property, it was later used as a convalescent farm for returned servicemen and a repatriation hospital for over 70 years. The tour will include a curated viewing of key heritage items from the Darebin Art Collection and concludes with our famous Devonshire tea at the Homestead café.
