Botanica

In March this year, students from the NMIT Visual Arts Department travelled to the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens to spend the day documenting the site. Returning to the classroom the students produced works on paper in a variety of media including graphite drawings, watercolour, painting, printmaking and photography.

The final result is Botanica, an exhibition comprised of 31 selected artworks from the project. For many students this is their first opportunity to exhibit their work in public and a milestone in their creative practice and future careers.
