David Stephenson moved to Australia from America in 1982 and is regarded as one of the nation’s most significant contemporary photographers. Over the course of three decades, he has travelled the globe producing striking photographs of landscapes, skyscapes, cityscapes and architecture.
Stephenson uses photography to transcend visible reality and to explore abstract, intangible themes such as time, mortality and spirituality - connecting us with deeper, spiritual forces that may be present in the natural and man-made worlds.
