Mark Dober's paintings reflect his unique perspective and understanding of the landscape. Falling water, ripples, spray, glistening rocks, shifting light and shadow, ancient and twisted trees, spring wild flowers and native grasses feature in a series of plein-air paintings and works on paper.

In 2005, Dober received his PhD in Fine Art (Painting), and was awarded the Mollie Holman Doctoral Medal. He has been a finalist in numerous art awards including the John Glover Art Prize and his work is held in collections, both private and corporate, throughout Australia.
