Hui Chuan Wang interprets traditional forms of religious paintings with a poetic-philosophical approach based on ancient Chinese wisdom. Using traditional Chinese ink on rice paper, each artwork is painted with the intention of raising questions that inspire different perspectives of life’s experiences.
Hui Chuan Wang has exhibited in Taiwan and Australia and has received several art awards including the 1996 Tao yan Art Exhibition Award, (Taiwan), the 2002 University of Melbourne postgraduate Award and 2004 UMPA Art Prize (Australia).
