Bruce Plant: His View

“For me, art is communication. An artist must struggle against ignorance, prejudice, poverty and values of the status quo. A work of art should be a visual representation of beauty. It should neither disturb, confront, nor argue. It should be self contained and pleasing to the eye. It should provide answers to questions before they are asked. I attempt to counter the stigma of mental illness in the community by providing encouragement and hope for others like myself who are faced with misunderstanding and alienation in their daily lives.” - Bruce Plant.
