John Brooks works across textiles, video and installation. Making intuitively, he allows the potential of the materials to inform part of the process while also potentially projecting thoughts and ideas onto non-human entities. He has a Bachelor of Fine Art (drawing) from the Victorian College of the Arts, Fine Art (honours) from Monash University and an Advanced Diploma in Textile Design from RMIT. Recent exhibitions include the third Tamworth Textile Triennial, Every Second Feels Like a Century at West Space, Materiality at Town Hall Gallery, Body + Cloth at the Australian Tapestry Workshop, and Off Grid at Blindside.
John Brooks will be on site at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday each week.
